Second inspiration for ICRC28

Hi Friends,

Here is our second round of inspiration for ICRC28.

I have used handmade polymer clay buttons as a part of speech bubble.I have also used pattern papers,flowers and stamped a bamboo stalk as tree branch on which my Itsy Bitsy owl is sitting.

Here is my inspiration cards for this month's challenge
First card has waves made out if half inch circle punch and semi quilled tender coconut.

Second card has a self made pattern paper using stamps and inks.And Girl sticker is a local buy and the birdhouse is a Itsy Bitsy sticker.

Polymer clay

Hi Friends,
Back after a small break..I have been busy with exploring clay arts..and today I am here with some facts about one of the clay type I have been working on..
I know I have been using this polymer clay word a lot these days and you might be wondering(many of them know abt it)what is it??

It`s a  modeling clay based on the polymer polyvinyl chloride.  It is modeled and baked..There are many companies like Sculpey,Premol and Fimo..who offer such clay.

See this bead..which has been used in this necklace made by me..

To make this bead..a cane has to be made out of that single white flower seen in the same bead..
Then a large cane of white flower is reduced into a small one .
This is cut into thin slices and a plain bead is covered by these thin slices...And then comes this beautiful bead in this necklace...
Making a cane is a quite a lengthy and hard process....

The gloom of the winter goes as Holi promises of bright summer days. Nature too, it seems rejoices at the arrival of Holi and wears its best clothes. Fields get filled with crops promising a good harvest to the farmers and flowers bloom colouring the surroundings and filling fragrance in the air.

For me holi is childhood,holi is memories and holi is super fun...I remember during my childhood in Bihar..we used to have very grand holika dahan and on holi day it was soo fun to play with friends.We used to eat loads of yummy snacks and sweets...miss those days..

Here is my project for holi..I have used a DIY texture paste and pie lane stencil to make the damask design. Then  I have inked it a bit.Used a handmade polymer clay button,mirror stickers and some metallic brads to embellish..

I have made a wood grain background with my scoreboard and used memento inks to bring a wood look..The I stamped the flower twice with 2 different colors...

Mixed media photo frame

Hi Friends,

Seeing such wonderful mixed media projects from my co crafters...thought of giving it a try...I need to improve a lot...but here is my first trial..
Base is a simple chipboard frame.
I have used stamped tissue paper,washi,acrylic pearl paint,inks,punched flowers ,quilled embellishment and last but not the least this project features one of my handmade buttons...left down corner..
It's spring theme with PPS color palette
Hope you like it...would be trying more for sure
