Christmas cards/tags gift set

Hi Friends ,

Made a set of cards and tags for my son's KG teacher who is so helpful and nice.It has 2 cards and 2 tags and its in a gift box for cards.i got this idea from stamptv video though measurements and color combinations are my idea,I am happy I found this video.

Present day

Hi Friends,

My inspiration to day is climate here in my village..its dark,snowy(snowing heavily) and full of Christmas spirit!So I brought this on my card with the use of masking technique for the sky background using various snowflake stamps.Houses are hand drawn and hand cut.Sentiments are stickers.Trees are cut from various pattern papers.

Winter theme card

Hi again,
Second post of the day.
It's cold here in swiss..so this card is all about snow,snowmen and winter..
Totally excited abt this card since I made the big snowman with 2 scallop circles and other accessories are handcut/hand drawn.Small one is stamped and handcut.I made the background with inks and white gel pen and PP.Sentiment is a combi of Stamping/handwriting/sticker.

New year pop-up card

Hi Friends,
Took a small break from card making since I was busy making scrapbook for my father's 60th birthday.Today I finished my challenging card..thats a pop up card.I have tried making pop up cards before but somehow it had never gave me satisfying results.So for ICRC 24 I thought I shall try it again.This time I went out of my comfort zone and picked up silver paper and acetate.Embellished it with an origami star that I leanrt from a you tube video.I have stamped on acetate and also added glitter.Sentiment are stickers.
And here comes the most exciting part the pop up..To be frank I am proud of this pop up..It came out really well..as I used score board for the same so I did not mess with the straight lines.It has 2013 and a bunch of heart balloons!

Another + point in today's post is that my photos have come very nicely because I made my own light box..thanks to Sunehra..she mentioned abt this video from eHow.

Keeping in mind the theme  Washi tape from KIS #2,I have made the cupcake base with washi tape and also background with decorative tape.Have used some PP and stamping.

I made a card using paper piecing/quilting .It's a thank you card(Ein kleines dankeschoen is a little thanks in german).I stamped the flower on vellum and cut it out.

Tapes ,tapes and more tapes

Got to know about this blog through one of my crafty buddies..thanks,happy to have found a blog dedicated to tapes..I was searching for an inspiration for a scrapbook page (father's friends and colleagues theme).So this sketch gave me a kick and I made this layout in 30 mins...loved the result.
I have used washi tapes and decorative tapes.The top and above are the flaps made up of washi and PP.Each of the flaps say "Friend in need is a friend indeed "and "best colleagues in the world".I am in love with the tapes  and want to use more and more in my projects..I have stamped different sentiments on the down left corner.

Flowers

I tried making different kinds of flowers using different materials..since I wanted to use them on my scrapbook pages.
First one is a tissue flower made up of thin layers of a tissue..it's hand cut and quiet delicate..I must found a way to stick is so that it does not get squished.i have put a star brad to hold all the layers.

Second one is a flower made up of 2 materials,a decorative tape and ribbon.

Third one is made up of ribbon and stitching method.

Fourth..is a common one a rose out of ribbon.

loved trying new things...hope to do more..till next post..auf wiedesehen(c u again in german).

Another christmas card

Here is a Christmas card which I have made for a friend/neighbor.Here I used pattern papers and faux stitching (black and red)technique.I made the flower using circle punch.Ornament is hand drawn and hand cut,then added some quilled elements,pearls and glitter for deco.Stamped sentiment.Punched snowflake.

Husked Christmas tree

I made a Diwali card yesterday..dono to whom I shall send it to.
It is an easel card.I have paper quilted various pattern paper circles of 3/4 inch.Then used golden stickers for border and for sentiment too.

Rudolf the red nose Reindeer

Hi all,

Diwali,Christmas whichever festival...the excitement and festivity is in the air ,my mind is full of ideas for Diwali...but in between wanted to make a Christmas card with foam stamp I have of Reindeer..I know my mind is so roaming around here and there..but I feel all crafters face this phase..often..
I used acrylic paints on foam stamp and then handcut the Reindeer image.Then using a designer stamps (inkdinkadoo)created the background pattern paper.Then added MS punch for border and a handmade Rossette.Distressed the edges..with Archival ink..

Aarthi Thali

Last week's Navratri fever was on and we enjoyed at garba ras here in swiss..There was an aarthi thali(lamp for god) decoration competition.There were other fantastic entries and my thali won first prize..I turned a simple Ikea tray into thali..I used crepe paper to cover the tray and quilled on it .added rhinestones to give authentic look.
